Steve Spurrier is the only coach on the list still active. In order for a national championship to be considered undisputed or unanimous, more than three polls must have selected the team in question as national champion for that season. In order for a coach to be considered for this list, he must have coached (at least one season) in the SEC. Frank Broyles was a fine coach for Arkansas, but Arkansas didn't join the SEC until 1992.
